Yuval Drabkin is a saxophonist and music educator that has performed all over Israel and Europe. At 28 years of age, he has already played on the biggest stages in Israel, and with some of the largest stars in Israeli music.

Yuval is one of the top-called saxophonists in the Israeli jazz scene, and has also performed in large pop music productions. He has performed with Eli Degibri, the Eyal Vilner Big Band, Yoni Rechter, Shalom Hanoch, Shai Maestro, Avishai Cohen, Yonatan Voltzok Big Band, and more. He is currently a permanent member of popstar Tamir Grinberg's touring band.

Just a few of the festivals and stages Yuval has performed at include: The Red Sea Jazz Festival, the Jerusalem Jazz Festival, the IASJ Conference in Portugal, the National Opera House of Israel, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Heichal HaTarbut in Tel Aviv, and most of the main stadium stages of Israel.

In addition to his performing career, Yuval teaches both in school programs and privately. He is an ensemble instructor at the esteemed Ironi Aleph High School for Performing Arts in Tel Aviv. Yuval has also recorded on multiple albums with notable Israeli musicians, such as Eden Giat, David Sirkis, Nadav Berkovits, Asaf Harris, and more.

 

Yuval is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he received his BFA in jazz performance on a full merit scholarship. He previously studied at the Israel Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv, and at Rimon Conservatory of Music in Ramat HaSharon.
